Very cute place! Wasn’t too busy and the service was good. We waited for a bit of time to get the food, but we weren’t in a rush so it wasn’t a big deal. The prices were pretty good and the portion sizes were good too. Will be back!

Fancy food at regular restaurant prices? Wow! So I came here based on the description of the cheese plate appetizer. By the way, that was divine. Honey drizzled over blue cheese and Brie cheese with strawberries and toasted bread slices. I can't say enough good things about that simple appetizer. I could drive an hour just for that. Then we saw on the menu they had duck, escargot, and many other unique and interesting dishes all for around 20 bucks a person. My wife ordered the duck pasta with a mushroom demi glaze. It was the best duck I've ever tried. No gamey taste but it definitely tastes like duck. The mushroom demi glaze was delicious and had a strong mushroom flavor. The bowtie pasta was cooked perfectly and was a good pairing with the sauce. I ordered the Beef bourguignon. The burgundy sauce was amazing, the beef was oh so tender and no bad pieces with grizzle or fat. The green beans and carrots looked beautiful on the plate and were cooked perfectly. Just a slight snap when you bite them, but not undercooked. If you are looking for a fancy dinner that feels casual enough for an everyday lunch or dinner, this is the place to go. Next time I'll be trying the lemon shrimp pasta or the sea bass. Can't believe that's even an option at 20 bucks a meal. This is my new favorite restaurant. I'm assuming I don't even have to tell you the service was amazing. The staff was great the store was clean and the decor was very comfortable and easy to look at. They even had pillows in the bench seats. Never been to France but if I didn't look out the window you could have easily convinced me I was teleported to a French bistro in Paris. Nothing bad to say here. This restaurant is sure to make you leave smiling and talking about the food for hours.

The fried chicken is one of the best I’ve ever had. All of the pasta is authentic and taste homemade, the owner is caring and comforting. His employees are well trained and are attentive to the customer. He is hands on and always interacts with the customer along with donating generously for the community. The menu is extensive and don’t forget to try their breakfast menu.

Went in there because I have seen good reviews on Tiktok. I had the Fench onion soup and the Mediterranean chicken wrap. Both were excellent.. even the bread in the soup was fresh. They make it. Usually the soup has dried out crouton type bread. The wrap has fresh vegetables and the chicken was really good.. The owner is super friendly and he jokes around with you.

We enjoyed Gaston’s Bistro! The food was really good and flavorful. The owner was very nice and I really appreciate how he takes pride in serving real quality food . The prices were also reasonable. These days that’s hard to find. I recommend the steak frites and seafood pasta. My daughters liked their steak frites and cheeseburger. The slice of lemon cake was good too! We will be back, I look forward to trying other dishes on the menu.

Had an appetite for a panini and google lead me to Gaston’s. Had a pleasant experience. Sat right down and ordered…for my side I asked my waitress to choose her favorite daily side and she recommended the potato salad. It looked like mashed potatoes but was so good! The waitress was really accommodating and I can tell the cook ensured my sandwich was toasted properly due to me being pregnant. If I’m in the area again, I’ll certainly return.

What an awesome spot! Everything is fresh, made to order, and you can tell the chef loves creating delicious food. The breakfast burrito was stuffed full of amazing flavors, the potato’s were out of this world crunchy, and the salsaaa I would put it on everything if they’d bottle it. We can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.

Gaston’s Bistro continues to shine as one of the most impressive dining experiences in the area. We originally came because we heard that Robert Irvine from the hit show Restaurant Impossible visited several years ago to transform the restaurant. The episode aired in 2021, and it’s clear that the improvements made during that renovation have truly stood the test of time. The hamburger with cheese was phenomenal—juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked exactly right. The pasta salad was fresh and flavorful, making it a perfect pairing. I also had a cup of chili with crackers, and it was equally amazing: rich, hearty, and full of depth. The filet mignon medallions were grilled to absolute perfection—tender, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The green beans were cooked just right, with that crisp‑tender texture that shows real attention to detail. One of the standout moments of the evening was the owner personally walking around the dining room, checking on guests and making sure everyone was enjoying their meal. You can tell he is very picky about what he serves, and that level of pride shows in every dish. His commitment to quality and hospitality elevates the entire experience. The interior, redesigned after the Restaurant Impossible makeover, is warm, stylish, and beautifully decorated, creating an inviting atmosphere that complements the exceptional food. Everything we tasted was delicious, the service was genuine, and the owner’s involvement made the experience feel personal and memorable. Gaston’s Bistro is a true local gem, and we’ll absolutely be returning.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gaston’s Bistro is truly one of Orland Park’s hidden gems! I recently had the opportunity to attend a girls patio brunch here, and from the moment we walked in, the experience was great. The staff was welcoming, and we even had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who took the time to chat with us and share the story behind the restaurant. I noticed though that he did that with all the patrons and not just us cause we had a big party. The atmosphere is what first stood out to me. The patio is the perfect summer hangout spot, especially since the restaurant is BYOB and even allows hookah on the patio. Inside, the space feels like a beautiful mix of modern café, cozy family restaurant, and art gallery all rolled into one. One of my favorite things about Gaston’s Bistro is that many of the sauces are homemade, and the desserts are handmade by the owner’s mother and delivered fresh to the restaurant. You can truly taste the love and care that goes into every dish. We tried multiple appetizers and entrées, and everything was delicious. The Homemade Crab Cakes and Sweet & Chili Shrimp were absolute standouts for me. The Shrimp New Orleans Pasta was packed with flavor, and I still can’t stop thinking about the fries that came with the Steak Frites and that incredible homemade gravy-style sauce. For dessert, we tried multiple cheesecakes, and the pistachio cheesecake completely stole the show! I visit the Tinley Park and Orland Park area often, and I can confidently say that Gaston’s Bistro has earned a permanent spot on my list of must-visit restaurants. 10/10 experience.
